Shooting in the Memorial Park is great because the way light is dispersed by the trees.
This year the summer has been cool which means that the ground isnt too dry. In fact you can see the moss on the tree trunks doing quite well.
This image needed only slight tweaking of the raw file when used in Photoshop CS4. I increased the Black level and tightened the brightness and contrast. I also softened the image using slight Clarity.
Coventry Photography Tips
I had Ste sit on the trunk in between the branches on his right and left; this created a 'frame'. The fact that Kai decided to walk in on the scene gives a depth and height to the image. If possible I think I would have preferred Kai to be sitting still in the image - that would have been neat.
