Jill asked me to shoot her wedding at the Coventry Village Hotel. We agreed that I would take a pre-wedding portrait shoot because this would give me a chance to get to know her better – something that always helps before the wedding day!
With Jill’s green eyes and blue top I used two flash guns with a green gel in one and blue in the other. I wanted to create a blue hue to the image and this has been done.
Coventry Photography Tips
This was a studio shot and there was full studio lighting. However I decided to use two flash guns with gels to get the best from Jill's eyes and blouse. It is important that even with the best and most expensive equipment you know how to down-scale to smaller and cheaper equipment for the desired result; do not rely on Photoshop for everything.
Camera used: Canon 450D
Focal Length: 5.6
Exposure Time: 1/125 sec
Flash used: 500EX and 580EX with gels
