This shot was taken deliberately with the lowest light setting on the flash heads.  No flash was used instead just the standard bulbs were used to provide illumination.

Using Photoshop several tools and techniques where used including the Smude Tool to smooth the lines of the photograph.

Brightness and contrast were tightened, I increased the exposure levels.  The underwater photo filter was applied.  Vibrance was dragged to +100 and Saturation reduced by -27.

Hue and saturation was used to make the image warmer and reduce the red.  I also copied to its own layer the lips and brightened the lipstick.

Coventry Photography Tips

When I took this image I had in mind a Rembrandt style shoot with lots of black and dark textures. There are several on line training videos which show you how to use the Smudge tool in Photoshop.
